Wine Tasting With The Girls

I went wine tasting with my girlfriends in the Snake River Valley area. Idaho has many wineries and we chose to visit two near Sunny Slope.
Natalie, Paula, Stephanie, Kate, and Danielle

Our first stop was St. Chapelle Winery. This is my favorite winery as they serve my most favorite sweet wine. Tasting is $5 and you get to keep your glass. We tried five yummy wines and really enjoyed visiting with the gals working in the tasting room.
We stopped for lunch at The Orchard House. It was pretty busy for a Saturday and we had about a 20 minute wait. Unfortunately during our wait we were forced to look at the most delicious freshly home baked cookies. Fortunate for The Orchard House, we ordered three to share (forgot to take a picture).
Our second winery of the afternoon was Koenig Vineyards and Distillery. I had though we could also taste the brandy and vodka but it was a no go. Their wine was delicious but was very expensive. It must be because of all the awards they have won!

If you need a fun idea for a group of friends, I would highly recommend a wine your. If the weather had been nicer, i.e. less wind, we could have had picnic and even enjoyed a full glass of wine on the patio.
