WW Wins: New Ear Bands

I redeemed some WW Wins for some fancy new ear bands.

I saw on one of my social media sites, a new WW Wins reward that I knew I would enjoy.  This time of year, it is nice to have something to cover your ears and protect them from the winds.  Not only would these WW ear bands fit the bill, but they also had the WW logo on them.  Even better!

I love how quickly the WW Wins rewards ship, right to your door, and for FREE!  I earn my wins by tracking my food, activity, sleep, and weekly weigh-in and then I get to enjoy the benefits in tangible form.

March - In Like A Lion...

We are just five days into March and have had beautiful weather thus far.  You know what they say about March, “In Like A Lion, Out Like A Lamb.”

While we have had sunshine and warm temps following a cold and snowy end of February, the wind has been a little crazy a few days.  Thankfully a very mild wind has allowed me to get outside and work on my Apple Watch Activity Goal to walk 89 miles this month.

I’ve mostly been sticking to my usual walking areas around my house but yesterday, I decided to walk Kleiner Park after my appointment to get my teeth cleaned.  I wasn’t the only one enjoying the absolutely beautiful day.

After a two mile loop, I walked to The Village in search of a coffee shop and a place to sit outdoors and enjoy the sun on my face.  It was relaxing and felt amazing.

I treated myself to lunch at Cafe Rio and then came home to rest.  It was a very active day and left me feeling powerful and strong.  Our temps are even more amazing today but the wind has returned.

I am starting to feel like I need some rest but I still want to reach for my the Perfect Week awards so I will do a FitOn upper and lower body workout.  I don’t like when you have to focus on just one type of activity.  On Wednesday, after I went for a walk outdoors, I grabbed my bike and headed back out for a 4 mile ride.  I just love this time of year when it is so easy to be active because I crave the sunshine.  I know Spring has not fully arrived and it is not unusual to get some snow late March.  I hope the weather stays nice for our upcoming vacation.

Weekly WI: On The Right Track

I was a tad bit worried I’d be back in the 200s this week.  The start of the week had a lot of high point foods and I had blown through my weekly points.  The remainder of the week was on track but you just never know what the scale will do.  Since I had a gain on my home scale abut would be back at my WW Studio, I also didn’t know what to expect.  I was holding my breath but when I stepped on the scale, I till saw 198 in front of the number.  I was still in Onederland.

This energizes me even more.  With a two-week vacation coming up soon, I will dig deep and make the time before we leave count.  I have nothing on the agenda this week and have my meal ideas planned and the groceries ready to go.  My Apple Watch goal this month is all about the miles and with our beautiful sunshine and warmer temps, I have been able to get out for a walk each day.  Yesterday, I listened to a new walking workout on my WW app under the Aaptiv section.  It was a Feel Good Walk indeed!

I had some work stuff I was stressing about and listening to this audio wasn’t just helpful for weight loss mindset.  It helped me with sorting out some of the other unhelpful thoughts too.  Once I returned from my walk, I pre-tracked a beer for after my weigh-in.  I bought a four pack of Guinness and shared half with Phoenix/Stacey.  I’ve been waiting for a time when I can sit down, relax, and enjoy a beer.  Last night was the perfect time and much deserved.

My sleep last week was on point, which I can’t say the same for the start of this week.  Last week I was at a training and living those “banker hours.”  It was amazing how easy it was to get about 8 hours of sleep each night.

So far, Tuesday I slept 5 hours and last night I slept 11.5 hours.  Not the best start to this week but we will see if we can start to even it out and get back to the “healthy zone” timeframe.

Happy Wednesday!
