Tracking Queen & Earning Those Blue Dots

Good Morning.

I have just been out for a long walk.  It has been a while since I’ve been out on the road for a walk.  Partly because the neighborhood we moved into hasn’t had much in the way of sidewalks and partly because I had gotten so heavy going for long walks wasn’t enjoyable.  It was nice to be out this Spring-time morning and I am looking forward to warmer temps again soon.

It has been a super duper fabulous week for tracking and earning those blue dots.

Wednesday and Thursday still posed some challenges…but I made it!  I had set a goal this week to keep my days off in check.  I also pre-tracked my personal pan pizza that Motorola Solutions is giving us at work tonight.  I have tracked the whole pizza for 20 points and I still earn a blue dot today!

That means I have at least 10 points of leeway because I could eat just half the pizza and still have room for other food.  I am eating low points around my pizza today, which helps for sure.  Since I’ll be going into work early today, that should help get me through with less food.  I decided to go a little heavy handed on the morning breakfast potatoes since I just burned some calories.  The plan isn’t to starve myself, it is just to be mindful of my high point foods today

And, I plan to enjoy every last bite of that yummy cheese pizza.

I have a WW Virtual workshop to attend in Arkansas here soon.  I suppose I’ll watch a little TV before I have to round up for work.  I’ll do some meal prep tomorrow for my work week.  I went in search of some WW recipe ideas to spice things up this week.

I hope you all have a GREAT day.

Thursday Check-In

Hello.  Happy Thursday.  Or in my case, happy eve of my last day off.

I spent all day in a Zoom training, Division of Human Resources’ Supervisor Academy.  It is day one of three and will continue next week.  It’s a beautiful day outside so I am itching to get out for a bit.  I did a quick treadmill walk this morning before training just to make sure I squeezed in some activity.  I am going to run a few quick errands after my WW Virtual Workshop Meeting, which is in Mississippi today.  This should allow me to get some sunshine and also help me get prepared for the work week.

I’ll admit, I’m not ready to head back to work.  I guess I’m getting the hang of this stay-at-home order after all.  My days off went super fast this week.  Why do I feel busier than ever with nowhere to go?

I found this on FB and thought it was appropriate.

I’m thankful I do have a job to go to each week so I can remember what day it is!

Have a good Thursday.

50 State Challenge: 19 of 50

It has been a day!  A very productive day for that matter.  I woke up super duper early (3am) and after making something to eat, I was about to head back to bed when my husband woke up.  I figured at this point, I might as well see about jumping on some WW Virtual Workshops on the east coast.  These meetings start a bit too early for a gal who works until 2am.  I did some rearranging and jumped into two meetings before the sun even came up!

The Hubs suggested we venture to Costco when they open at 10am so instead of going back to sleep for a short nap, I jumped on a few more WW meetings.  I have just completed my 5th WW Virtual Meeting today.  I thought I had one more on the agenda but I’ve moved that to next Wednesday.  I am attending a Colorado meeting specifically to see one of my online WW friends.  So, I’ll catch up with her next week.

It has been such great content today.  And, two of the meetings were really small so it was almost like getting a personal one-on-one meeting.  How lucky am I?  I loved what the first leader asked us:

How many of you are getting used to your new normal?

I really am getting used to the new normal.  I guess as these COVID-19 days drag on, I am adjusting pretty well.  It gets easier the longer we have to do this.  I am still hopeful we will be back to some form of civilization again soon.

She also gave me some great perspective.  She was such a positive WW Coach and reminded that things get better if we want them to.  Isn’t that the truth?  Mindset is so important to this journey.

Okay, I am super exhausted and either need a nap or maybe get ready to call it an early bedtime.

Good night.
