I Think I’m A Bit Depressed

A few weeks ago, one of our troopers received an award.  Since he started his career as a dispatcher, the command staff were on the hunt for photos.  A prior co-worker found a photo taken at a work BBQ/picnic, many, many, moons ago.  I was lucky enough to be in the photo with Jeff.

I’ve been reflecting on this photo ever since and my thoughts are “why didn’t I work to protect my progress?”  I really took it for granted.

My Goal Anniversary is this month and in April is my Lifetime Anniversary.

Prior to the last few weeks, I was feeling really energized and motived to finally kick some of these extra pounds.  I really want to get back into the 220s.  Sadly, while small, I’ve gained over the last three weeks.  This week will be a large gain as I’ve been very sociable.

I also think I’m a bit depressed this week.

I was chatting with a member via text.  While I’m not where I was when I reached goal, I have kept off 77 pounds and for that, I am proud of my accomplishments.

I spend a lot of time feeling down about my weight loss journey and those types of thoughts are not self-serving.

Weekly WI: Lots Of Fun Stuff

Life has been rippin’ and roarin’ at a fast pace!  Thankfully I have been able to balance my social outings with healthy eating which has kept the weight gain on the low side.  Despite having a gain the last two weeks (0.6 two weeks ago and 1.0 pounds last week), I am feeling good and my body feels different.  Smaller maybe?  Hard to say, I did just buy bigger jeans…and some shapewear…

We signed paperwork on a second mortgage so we could get out from under US Bank on our RV loan.  In turn, we also got a lower interest rate with better terms and a smaller payment.  All this means with our extra payments, we hope to have the RV paid off in seven years…or sooner if we can just snag one jackpot hit at the casino!

Phoenix and I attended a silent disco at Good Apple Taphouse.  These events are always hit-miss depending on the crowd and the DJ.  We had a great time.

I successfully coordinated an Elks event called Warm Welcome to the Nampa Public Library.  It was a reading hour combined with passing out warm clothing which was purchased as part of our Spotlight Grant.  We supplied so many needed clothing items to our community members.  The event was a success and we are looking forward to growing our partnership with the local library.

I had a mini girls weekend staycation where Phe and I spent the night at Wanda’s house as her husband was out of town.  We visited two wineries and built terrariums at a local shop called Wood & Root.  We also tried a new brewery in town.

The only other excitement is booking travel and waiting or warmer temps to arrive, which we have had a mild winter.  I’ll recap all our upcoming travel soon.  When I don’t have much to do…I obsess about travel!
