Kenyon and I
enjoy visiting Las Vegas. The flight
from Boise is about an hour and a half and when you stay in a hotel on the Las
Vegas strip it feels like big city lifestyle.
I love it! Las Vegas is known for
its miles and miles of buffets and its ample opportunity to catch a show or other exciting entertainment. As of late
the highlight of my Vegas visit is to hit up the Coach Outlet at one of two of
the outlet malls. Whatever tickles your
fancy (literally or figuratively) you will find it in Vegas.
If you ever spot me during my Vegas vacation you will see me logging miles and walking like a mad woman. There is so much to see and do and the best way to do that is on foot. On our last trip to Vegas my FitBit showed I walked 16.5 miles in just two days. Whether it is walking on the strip taking in all the sights or wandering through the hotels and casinos as you make your way to a restaurant or show, you are sure to get in some major activity. Even if you hop on/off The Duce (a 24 hour bus you can ride that drives up and down the strip for $8 a day) you often have to walk the length of two or three hotels between each bus stop.
In September
during my stay at Planet Hollywood with Danielle on our Vegas Girls Weekend our
resort fee allowed us access to the fitness club and spa. There were several exercise machines and a
full set of weights available for guest use.
There is never any excuse for not staying active while on vacation.
Kenyon and I
are headed to Vegas in December. This
will actually be our second trip this year.
We are just crazy Vegas lovers. I
am super excited to see one of the newest Cirque du Soleil show Zarkana at the
Aria Resort. There are so many hotels
and casinos to visit I have not yet been inside Aria. I love new experiences.
I have recently
received word that Aria Resort offers a Hotel Hike as a way to stay active on
vacation. I can’t wait to try it out!
I am participating with #TravelFit2014 where I am sharing with you my tips for staying active while on vacation.
I plan to break my blogposts up into a few different categories of travel and
activity so I can share with you my experiences. For additional tips from other
travelers, search using the hashtag above.
