Planning For A Loss

It has been a tough week at work and I’ve been a bit stressed.  I am hopeful that it won’t affect the scale this week but we never really know what our bodies are going to do!

I’m going to say most of what has been going on this week is hormonal, another reason I have no idea what the scale will see.  How did my week go?  Really well.

After not earning my blue dot Tuesday or Wednesday, my meal planning/prep helped me earn blue dots the remainder of the week and put some rollover points back in the WSPA bank.

I have also had a good week of activity with some tough workouts that have left my muscles sore.

All of this should add up to weightless and I am going to stay optimistic that I will see my hard work reflected on the scale.  I have one more weigh-in until our Girls Weekend in Vegas.  That means this week need to be on track.  I need to figure out my meal plan and see if I can shake up activity this week as well.  I have to be awake early for my WW meeting tomorrow and then work a graveyard shift for sick coverage.  Sleep isn’t going to be my friend this week but I’m going to work really hard not to give in to the tired/stress feelings and stay committed to my WW plan.

I’ll report back tomorrow.

Activity, Activity, Activity

I’ve ramped up my activity this week with my March Apple Watch Challenge.  I’ll admit, I don’t love exercising 30 minutes a day and I don’t love having to workout every day.  Since I have to complete 18 days this month of filling my Apple Watch Circles, I am trying to stretch it out and not burn out on activity too quickly.

After taking yesterday off as a rest day, today is Women’s Day 2020 and thus, an opportunity to earn a special award.  If you did a run, walk, or stroll of at least 20 minutes, you earned the special award.  You know I love awards.

After completing 35 minutes of walking activity, my Apple Watch didn’t give me the full 30 minute exercise credit.  This is typical if you don’t get your heart rate high.  I ended up walking another 10 minutes and eventually getting the circle filled.  Once I get my stand circle filled for the day, I’ll have 6 of 18 days complete this month.

Yippie!  I am going to start up the activity tracker and clean house on Monday before work as my “activity.”  I tell ya, every bit of movement counts.

Happy Sunday.

Meal Prep Shake Up: Tostadas & Lasagna Rolls

In the quest to find new meals for my week, I found some WW recipes that sounded good, Shephard’s Pie & Chicken Picatta Stir Fry, as well as some a few other recipes that sounded good and/or some I’ve not had in a while.  Also on the menu this week: Tostadas and Lasagna Rolls.

I love an easy meal and these tostadas with fat free refried beans could not be easier.

When I was looking for my usual street taco corn tortillas (1 point each) The Hubs encouraged me to find something with less ingredients.  I found these that ended up being 3 points for two.  That means I don’t have to toast them.  They are tasty too.

Quick and easy meal.  I topped my tostadas with Daisy Light Sour Cream and some romaine lettuce.  I’m having round two at work tonight.

Fresh out of the oven is Lasagna Rolls.  This was a WW recipe idea that I knew I could shave some points off.  It started with using half the meat mixture of the Shepherd’s pie (before adding in the veggies).  I tucked half into the fridge.  I mixed together fat free cottage cheese, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese.  That mixture was blended into the meat mixture I had set aside a few days prior.

After cooking the pasta noodles, I spread a small bit of mixture down the center and also added some mozzarella cheese (a mix of both fat free and reduced fat) and topped with tomato sauce and the remainder of the mozzarella cheese mix.

I’m excited to try these out later tonight for my work meal.  I’ll have a salad along side and I’ve saved some points for a Built Bar.
