Happy Tracking...and Happy Saturday

Happy Saturday.  I was slightly bummed it was only Saturday.  For some reason, I am ready for my days off again.

Did you all see the WW app update?  Well…some of you.  My Aunt Barb seems to have a snag with her update so she is out of the loop.  One of the WW Coaches from one of the many virtual workshop meetings let it slip that WW has added a water tracker on the My Day page.

Yeah!  While I have no issues with drinking plenty of water, I might track my intake for a while just because I can.

I have also been having a great week for blue dots.

Minus my Wednesday indulgence in pizza and going waaaaaaaay over my DSPA, I am on track for the remainder of the week.  It feels really good to reach into the fridge and pull out low-point and on-track meals for my work week.  I really need to get with it and meal plan during my days off so I can stay on track those days too.

I have had to back to weighing/measuring some foods even though I don’t have to as part of the Purple Plan.  It has been difficult to find my favorite frozen potatoes in the grocery stores and so stumbling upon some at Walmart this last week made me very happy.  The only bummer is, the potatoes are a larger cut then the variety I usually eat at Winco.  I also love potatoes so it is really easy for me to become heavy handed.  I decided I needed to get them on the ‘ol food scale and I am sure glad I did.  While these frozen potatoes are delicious, it is a much smaller portion than the smaller cut variety.

It is always a good reminder that if the your weight/scale is ticking upwards, it might be time to get that food scale and measuring cups back out of the cabinet and drawers.  You might also want to start re-scanning the foods you eat every day, as well as the portion sizes, so you can become better equipped with honest tracking.

Happy Tracking!

Odds & Ends

I tell ya, I don’t have much to report.  I am back at work for the week and it is just after 9:30pm.  The start of the shift was busy but the workload has died down.  It has been rather slow since COVID-19 reared its ugly head.
So, here is an odds and ends post.
You know you’ve been drinking a bit too regularly when you aren’t even in the mood to celebrate Pints Up Idaho.  Since COVID-19 stole another fun event from us, I had a virtual toast to kick of Craft Beer Month.  Now, I wasn’t really wanting beer even though I had enough points.  I pretended to toast and I’ll save it for another day.

I recently bought some of the Cense Cabernet Sauvignon through their website.  I can’t find it in my area and paid $18 per bottle.  I am not a big red wine drinker but this sure is delicious and only 3 points per glass.

Dawny gave me the idea to mix yogurt with cottage cheese and also directed me where to find the Carb Master lemon variety from Fred Meyer.  I tried it out with Light & Fit Key Lime Pie Greek yogurt and really liked it.  I think it would be the bomb with orange yogurt and mandarin oranges.  Yum.  I’m excited to try the lemon/cottage cheese mix later tonight at work.

I don’t love the new Built Bar flavors and the cookie dough really let me down.  Darn it.  I was really looking forward to this variety.  I prefer my Built Bars from the fridge and thought I would try the microwave trick I have seen online.  Eh.  Didn’t love that either.

Coffee.  Lots and lots of coffee has been consumed since being homebound.

I’m super boring these days.

50 State Virtual Meeting Challenge

It’s a brand new month.  Hello April.  But more importantly, Goodbye March!

I found this on FB and though it was appropriate.  Instead of “in like a lion and out like a lamb,” it sure has been a rough March.  And I’m not convinced “April showers will bring May flowers.”  We won’t be done with COVID-19 just yet.  Sigh.

I’ve just attended a WW Virtual Workshop meeting in Albany, NY.  After attending a workout in Albuquerque, NM yesterday, the WW Coach gave me a great idea of a 50 State Challenge.  It feels exhausting but also exciting.  I made a list and went in search of a Virtual Workshop in all 50 states.  I’ll be tackling them one-by-one.

And, since yesterday was a POINTS BOMB of a day, I need this refresh with a WW Virtual Workshop.  So, I am glad I jumped onto Albany, NY.  I have Ohio and California on the list for today as well.  I don’t need to double up each days for meetings but to start, I might just so I can try and reach the goal of all 50 states before April 30th.  We don’t know how long these virtual workshops will last.

My days off are passing in a blur.  I am not ready to go back to work!  I’ve been meal planning/prepping today so I am ready for the week.  And, after such a rough day yesterday with high point of-plan foods, I need this re-start to the week and the month.

I hope you are all having a good mid-week and still staying sane through this stay-at-home order.  Hang in there.
