Pink Beautiful Trauma World Tour in Salt Lake City

We had a great time in Salt Lake City and boy did the time go fast!

We rolled out of Boise on Tuesday afternoon so Kenyon could spare a little of his time off requests this month. We arrived in SLC around 7pm, checked into the Plaza Hotel, and had dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory. It was just as good as it always is.

We split a lasagna meal, got an extra salad, and then shared some broccoli and cheese bread. We were stuffed!

The Plaza Hotel was in a great location next to Temple Square. We didn’t have time to do much in the area but was the perfect walking distance to the concert venue. The hotel is older and our room was by the elevator. So, it was quite noisy. We had a view of the Capitol building but if you leaned over, you could see the Temple. We also had a view of the Temple at the window at the end of the hallway.

Wednesday, we hit up IKEA and the Coach Outlet and also grabbed a small bite to eat at Cafe Rio. I’d been worried about the weather as it rained all afternoon/evening Tuesday and all morning on Wednesday. I was so happy to see the sun shining and the clouds part by Wednesday afternoon since we had plans to walk to dinner and the concert. One of my Patrol Sergeants was in town for the concert with her daughter so she suggested meeting for dinner before the concert. We picked Tucanos, which was within walking distance and would provide little Allison with a foodie experience. It was delicious.

The Vivint Smart Arena is massive and is the biggest concert venue I’ve been to. We got there at 6:30pm when the doors open so we had no trouble getting through fast and to our seats.

There was a DJ called Kid Cut Up and an opening act, Julia Michaels. We liked the DJ and he had some great songs that had the whole crowd dancing in their seats. We didn’t care for Julia Michaels that much. I was just waiting for Pink to come out.

Oh boy, when she did, that concert venue erupted like no feeling ever before. It’s an amazing crowd in SLC.

Pink is an amazing performer and gave us a show stopper for two straight hours. I’ll definitely see her again in the future. We had the best time.

Trip #1 is in the books. We head for New Mexico/Las Vegas next week
