Las Vegas: The Fun

This time around our on our Vegas Vacation we stayed at The Excalibur.

We booked a strip-view room.  I am so glad we did.  I loved looking out our window and seeing the sights of Vegas.  It just made me smile all the time.  Our hotel was right across from New York York and we could also see MGM and a few other places down the strip.  The New York New York has a roller coaster so you could hear people screaming occasionally.  Here are some photos from our window.

I love to visit The Bellagio every time we go to Vegas.  The Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a must see.  Every season they decorate the area with several million fresh flowers and make the whole room come alive.  This year was no exception.  Christmas might be my most favorite time to visit The Bellagio.  If you are ever in Vegas, you MUST go see it.

We saw two shows.  The first was Zarkana, one of the newer Cirque du Soleil shows which is located in Aria.  This was my first time being in Aria as it sits back off the strip and isn’t a casino that you often have to walk by.  The show was just okay.  We thought it lacked plot and while the stunts are always amazing, these were fairly traditional.  That is terrible to say considering the amazing talent of these performers. I highly recommend attending a Cirque show if you have never seen one.  The traveling ones come to Boise once every couple of years.  It is a really neat experience.  Vegas has several to chose from.

When we went to pick up or tickets the day before our show there was nobody in the gift shop so I snapped some photos.

The other show we went to was Fantasy located in The Luxor.  Just like when Danielle and I went to Carrot Top, photos are not allowed.  So you’ll have to look it up if you want to know more.

The new Hershey Store has opened in New York New York so we made our way over there on our last night in Vegas.  I was in Reeses heaven.  It was good enough to eat!

Kenyon usually takes my photos if I am not able to take a selfie.  He likes to take a lot of photos even after I am done smiling…stinker!  So here is what taking photos with Kenyon’s help looks like.

Good thing I love him….right?
I saw on a blog somewhere there was some large high heel shoe art at The Cosmopolitan, which I’ve never been into.  This is an amazing casino with a huge chandelier in the center surrounding a bar and a spiral staircase.  We walked all over and only found one high heel shoe.  I was too tired to walk any further.

Let’s see….I  think that about wraps up this trip to Vegas.  I already can’t wait to go back.  I am still shocked I left Vegas without buying a Coach purse!  I didn’t buy one on our last trip to NM either.  I’ve not been a fan of their fall line.  Good news is I’ll always be around another Coach outlet at some point in my life.

Only in Vegas can you find a toilet with a drink holder.
