Las Vegas: Lots O' Walking

Hello.  I’m baaaaaaack.
We had a wonderful time in Vegas.  I have lots of photos to share so I think I’ll break it up into a few posts.
I am sorry I didn’t do better at checking in with you all while we were gone.  I didn’t quite have much content ready to post  before we left and I lost track of my days/nights.  Time flew by so fast.  I am also having issues with the blogging app I use when we travel.  I’m not sure what this means for the future of travel blogging on-the-go so I hope they get it updated soon.
I told you we did a lot of walking and I’m not joking about that!
Saturday: 14,996 steps and 6.47 miles
Sunday: 25,821 steps and 11.18 miles
Monday: 18,810 steps and 8.11 miles
Tuesday: 11,837 steps and 5.11 miles

My FitBit showed we walked a total of 30 miles.  Where did our walking shoes take us?
When we booked our trip to Vegas I knew the National Finals Rodeo was also going on at the same time.  While we didn’t go to Vegas for the NFR event, it was fun to see the many cowboys and cowgirls walking around.  We decided to check out Cowboy Christmas, a shopping and vendor fair that comes to Vegas once a year when the NFR is in town.  I have never seen so much blig in my life.  Cowgirls have it made!

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

You know what they say about big shoes....

I have to send a shout out to Kool C.A.T. Scooters USA L.L.C. and the amazing product “Scooter Dave” has developed.  I spotted these stylish scooters at the expo event and wanted to learn more about it.  These scooters are perfect for anybody with mobility issues, such as those living with MS.  They are light weight (only 35 pounds) and can easily fit into a bed of a pick-up truck or the trunk of a car.  They are safe for the roadway and can go up to 16 mph.  You can also customize your style and color.  When they told me to hop on and take it for a spin I was smiling from ear to ear!

I sent Jamie a text message and told her I wanted to buy her a scooter right that moment.  Heck, I want a scooter.  I wonder if my insurance will allow me to get one for “sympathy” so I can ride around town with Jamie.  Boy wouldn’t that be fun?
We walked one of two outlet malls, both of which have a Coach outlet and the north outlet mall has a UGG outlet.  I have been toying with getting a pair of UGG-type boots as they are super warm and I always freeze at work.  I found a pair that was very “me” but they didn’t have my size.  We hit up the Foreum Shops as we were headed to the Cheesecake Factory and I spotted an UGG store.  I told Kenyon I wanted to peak at their sale rack.  Well, it just so happened they had the boots I was eyeing on sale (not as cheap at the outlet price) and in my size and signature color (purple).  So, they followed me home.
I am actually wearing them today and they are toasty warm.

The rest of our walking was just here, there, and everywhere around Vegas.  I never get tired of seeing the tall buildings and structures.   Weaving through all the casinos just getting from point A to point B can make the miles add up.

We did just a tiny bit of relaxing in our hotel room.

I’ve got much more to share.  Stay tuned.
