Birthday Celebration #1 is in the books and we had a great time.
We picked up Phoenix and Stacey to head to downtown for a bite to eat before the comedy show. We went for Five Guys for burgers since it would be quick and easy. There was about 30 minutes to kill before they were seating at the club, which was just enough time for an ice cream treat.
The STIL offers ice cream and beer pairings and had some new pumpkin ice cream flavors for the season. They also offer about five “boozy” ice cream flavors made with alcohol. We all loved each of the flavors of ice cream we chose. It was a nice treat indeed.
Pauly Shore did not disappoint. He was hilarious. He uses a bit of his old routine from his movie days and Phoenix said she would have love some new jokes. I think when that is what you are most famous for it is easy to stay in that character. It was a great evening.
Kenyon and I dropped off Phoenix and Stacey and then did some grocery shopping. We debating eating in our out and decided to drive across town to Merrit’s for some of their famous scones. I ended up whipping out the rest of my WSPA and calling it good. I didn’t feel so well after my many indulgences. It feels good to be back on track today.
