I’ve been on the WW app and website since after
might learning all about the new WW program called myWW.
The verdict: It
looks awesome.
The premise behind myWW is that you get a choice on which of the three plans you’d
like to do. Green Plan, Blue Plan, and
Purple Plan. I shared a photo of the differences yesterday.
I’ve decided to give the Purple Plan a try. It just so happens that not only is Purple my
favorite color but I’m super stoked to be incorporating more whole foods back
into my diet now that they are 0 SPV. In
order to accommodate these higher point foods into your day, the new minimum
Daily Smart Points Allowance on the Purple Plan is 16. I will have 17 DSPA until I lose more weight.
The remainder of my shift last night was spent
updating some of my pasta recipes and look for some new recipes. It’s awesome how modifying a recipe to
include 0 SPV whole wheat pasta makes a huge difference.
I’m looking forward to trying this One Pot Butternut
Squash Mac and Cheese dish. The points dropped
from 7 per serving to 2 per service by using whole wheat pasta instead of white
pasta and I also will use non-fat milk because I think I’ve got some on hand
already. I also halved the recipe so I
will have less portions. Oh….yummmm….
While hanging out a bit on Connect, I was super
stoked when somebody noted that a Wendy’s plain baked potato is 0 SPV on the
Purple Plan. What?!? It was that instant I decided I was getting a
potato and large chili (5 SPV) and my way to work tonight.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see my Copy
Cat Panda Express Chow Mein drooped from 7 points to 1 point now that pasta is
0 SPV. This is going to be amazing. At least for right now. I just need something different to re-energize
me and I think myWW is what will do this. I’ve also been looking up other recipes as
part of my meal plan this week.
I’m going to give the Purple Plan a go for a
while and see how I feel. I can always
switch back to the Blue Plan. We will be
going to Vegas next week. I’m thinking
maybe on the Purple Plan, I could focus on the 0 SPV foods and use my DSPA and
WSPA for alcohol. The tough part is all
the delicious food options. But, I’m
still going to give Purple Plan some extra time since vacation will slightly interrupt
it.
The new Freestyle Program rolled out in December 2017. I had a bit of a rough start but
by February, I’d found my mojo. I remember going crazy with new 0 SPV foods and since I love beans so much, I made a huge pot of chili. I feel sort of like that with myWW. I want to make all the pasta dishes and have all the potatoes STAT!
I’m
hoping to find that mojo with the new myWW
and the Purple Plan so I can kick the last of this re-gain weight and re-claim
my goal.

Yay! I really need to do something. The purple plan might be for me! I'm so so glad people are so positive about these plans! Go WW! And you. :)
