Bloomsday Results

I’ve never paid any attention to my race results when I have done a prior race.  I have completed all my races for fun except for my second half marathon which I wanted to come in at a lower time. In the past I have always just taken my own watch time as the finish time.

I got my Bloomsday results in an email that also had the option of free photos.  Why not take a look.  It is fun to see all the information Bloomsday shares with you.

My official finish time: 2:32:09

Overall place: 37,058^th (wow that is a lot of people)

Pace per mile: 20:23

Average pace for 34 year olds: 14:19 (I can keep at 15 minute mile for at least four miles if I try)

·        I placed 631^st among 741 people the same age

·        I placed 86^th among 90 people from Boise

·        I placed 3,845^th among 4,522 people from Idaho

·        I placed 1^st among 1 person with my last name (yeah!!!  I got first place in something)

·        I placed 21,654 among 26,081 females

·        I placed 384^th out of 464 34-year old females

·        I placed 2,051^st out of 2,442 people in my age group

I went and looked at some of the other results.  I am in the 30-34 age bracket and the 1^st place female finished in 0:41:26.  That is impressive.  The 1^st place female in the 90+ age bracket finished in 1:48:55.  I guess I need to work harder next time.  That is amazing!!!
